]]> I had the great opportunity to photograph what was so far the biggest game of my career: the BCS National Championship Game between Notre Dame and Alabama. After an unexpected, undefeated season by the Irish, they fell flat out of the gate and never really showed much life in a 42-14 loss to Alabama. From a logistics standpoint, it was the easiest game I’ve shot all season. The sidelines were easy to navigate, the workroom wasn’t cramped and the internet connection was super fast. It’s always much easier to cover a winning team, but because of the game’s lopsidedness we were able to get our photos in early without any deadline stress. It’s been a fun season photographing the Irish, especially being my first year at the South Bend Tribune.
