Live at the South Bend Tribune
In late 2013, my colleague Robert Franklin and I came up with a crazy idea: invite local bands to play in the South Bend Tribune. With the support of our executive editor and entertainment editor, Robert and I were able to start the project in 2014 as a weekly video feature on the Tribune’s entertainment website, InTheBend.com. Robert and I took turns booking, filming and editing performances of local bands performing in our press room. The project was well received in the local music community, and we had bands lining up to do Press Play sessions.
