Preparing for Dalai Lama visit

May 9, 2010

Saturday was a very busy, but interesting day for me. It was my graduation from Indiana University-Bloomington. But before I headed to the ceremony, I shot an assignment for the Indianapolis Star. The Dalai Lama is visiting the state next week with teachings in Bloomington and Indianapolis. While he’s in Bloomington, he will be staying at the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center. The Dalai Lama’s late brother started the center South of Bloomington. My task was to shoot some of the preparations at the center before his visit. While I was there, one of the dignitaries arrived, and I was able to get a few shots of his arrival (see the second to last photo).

Wow, nice pics. I hope I don’t get tracked down by the Chinese govt for reading about the Dali Lama tho.
I’ve never seen your blog before, but it looks really nice, great work! Congrats on graduating!
