Post office tour

February 9, 2011

This morning I drove up to the local post office to photograph about 30 youngsters getting a tour of the facility during a field trip. I spotted a note about the field trip in a school district newsletter last week and thought it might yield a few interesting features. I wasn’t disappointed.

Kensie Summers, a first grader at Buffalo Ridge Elementary, covers her ears in anticipation of a noise from a machine that automatically sorts mail as she and her fellow classmates tour the U.S. Post Office on Converse Avenue on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, in Cheyenne.
