USPS considering closure of Meriden, Wyoming post office

June 13, 2011

Last week I worked on a story with writer Josh Rhoten about the Meriden, Wyo. post office. The branch there is expected to be one of several on the USPS chopping block. If the small post office closes, it could force some residents to drive up to 50 miles for basic postage services. Read more of the story here.

The United States Postal Service is considering closing the Meriden post office, which houses about 30 post office boxes for residents of the rural community in northern Laramie County.
