Indiana University student James Steimle

October 14, 2014

I photographed James Steimle, a freshman business major from Naperville, Ill., last week for a Chicago Tribune story about the admissions system at the University of Illinois. Steimle, who had a 3.9 GPA in high school, wanted to attend the University of Illinois, but after his application was deferred for several months he decided to attend Indiana. At IU, he was directly admitted to the Kelley School of Business.

U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas Perez visits Indianapolis

September 15, 2014

A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to photograph U.S. Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez during a visit to Indianapolis for the U.S. Department of Labor. The trip included visits to three separate locations in the city, which made for an extremely fast-paced day for me. It really kept me on my toes for the day, but it was a fun experience.
