It’s (finally) baseball season

April 3, 2014

Earlier this week I photographed my last basketball assignment of the season. While I am disappointed to end my run as the South Bend Tribune’s designated armpit photographer, I am glad that it’s finally baseball season. After months of cold and snow, it’ll be nice to get outside to shoot a few games in the coming weeks. Oddly enough I’ve never been a die hard fan of any particular ball club – something that probably comes from growing up in MLB-less Indiana. Despite this, I really enjoy photographing it. I’m especially looking forward to baseball assignments this season after such a long, cold and basketball-filled winter.

Western defeats Evansville Mater Dei in Class 3A state title game

March 9, 2014

I traveled to Terre Haute on Saturday to photograph the Penn girls in the Class 4A title game. As I was waiting for the girls to emerge from their locker room and down the tunnel to the floor, I made a few pictures of the celebration after Western’s 38-35 win against Evansville Mater Dei in the Class 3A title game.
