BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — IU’s athletic director told the Indiana Daily Student today the school’s football coach, Bill Lynch, will remain at least through the end of his two-year contract. The announcement came after IU (4-4, 1-3) allowed Northwestern to score 26 un-answered points to win 29-28 on Saturday. On Monday, news broke one of the team’s top recruits, Jibreel Black, planned to decommit and attend Cincinnati.
Here’s a few shots of Lynch during his tenure at IU:
In their final preseason game before the season opener, the Indiana Pacers faced off against the San Antonio Spurs at Indiana University’s Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind. Normally the home of the Hoosiers, the stadium became the home floor of the Pacers for one night. It was the first time the Pacers had played in Assembly Hall since 1972.
The Indiana University men’s basketball season kicked off their season with Hoosier Hysteria, an annual open practice, on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Assembly Hall. This year’s team welcomes several new recruits, who are widely seen as the players who will help re-build the program still ailing from the Kelvin Sampson recruiting scandal two seasons ago.
