Notre Dame defeats Purdue in Indianapolis

December 19, 2012

I drove down to Indianapolis this past weekend to photograph Notre Dame’s win against Purdue in the Crossroads Classic. The game itself wasn’t nearly as interesting as the one that preceded it between Indiana and Butler. After several armpit shots, I started working the low wide angle a bit to mix it up:

Danza de Matachines

December 14, 2012

Matachines dancers perform on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at St. Adalbert Parish in South Bend. The dancing coincides with the feast in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe, who is said to have appeared to Juan Diego, a poor man, on Dec. 9, 1531, as he walked to church near present-day Mexico City. The Matachines dance in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe each December to mark her appearance and subsequent miracle. (James Brosher/South Bend Tribune)
