Dinosaur in downtown South Bend

October 24, 2012

On Monday I photographed a dinosaur mascot in the County-City Building in downtown South Bend. It made for a few interesting juxtapositions and even more weird looks from passersby.

Dimayah Marsh, 3, gets a hug from Sal, a dinosaur mascot promoting lead poisoning awareness, on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, morning in the lobby of the County-City Building in downtown South Bend. As part of National Lead Poisoning Awareness Week, the St. Joseph County Health Department was offering free lead tests to youngsters inside the lobby of the building. Notre Dame comes from behind to beat BYU

October 20, 2012

I tried to mix things up a bit at today’s Notre Dame game. For the first ten minutes of the first quarter, I shot the action from the photo deck (the top of the press box). I always like a good overhead shot because it usually cleans up the backgrounds and offers a different perspective. It was a decent game for action, and the Irish came back for the win to stay perfect at 7-0 on the season. Next week I will be flying down to Oklahoma to photograph Notre Dame’s matchup with the Sooners.
