Berchtesgaden, Germany

June 7, 2010

Here are a few frames from my trip to Berchtesgaden, Germany last month. Berchtesgaden, located in Southern Bavaria, is known infamously as the home of the Nazi party elite during World War II. While there, I visited the Eagle’s Nest, which is known in German as the Kehlsteinhaus. The party gave Adolf Hitler the mountain-top house as a present for his 50th birthday. After the war, it was spared from demolition and it is now a museum and restaurant. I recommend the Wiener schnitzel and beer if you ever go.
