Indiana University South Bend

April 13, 2015

A couple weeks ago, I made a trip back to South Bend to photograph the dedication ceremony for the Vera Z. Dwyer College of Health Sciences at Indiana University South Bend. While I was in town, I used the opportunity to shoot some features and student life photos around the campus. It was great to be back in South Bend for a night and have the opportunity to see some familiar places and faces.

The gift is the largest ever given by a single donor to IU South Bend. (James Brosher/IU Communications)

Indianapolis Motor Speedway unveils 500 Festival cars

April 5, 2015

Last week I photographed the unveiling of the 500 Festival cars at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. These aren’t pace cars but rather the “official” vehicle used by race/track officials and VIPs around Indy to promote the Indianapolis 500 in the weeks leading up to the race. Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard was there to drive a Chevrolet Volt pace car and he seemed to be in good spirits after the Indiana RFRA “fix” was signed into law earlier in the day:

Homebrewing

March 16, 2015

This weekend while Barbara was at a bridal shower, I photographed her father homebrewing a wheat beer for our wedding. The “Wedding Wheat” homebrew is going to be one of two party favors for our guests along with a “Hoppily Ever After IPA.”

Odds and ends for Indiana University

March 16, 2015

In the past couple of months, I have slacked a bit in blogging my recent work. In that time period, I’ve shot a variety of things from features to portraits to little slices of campus life. Here are a few favorites from my daily work on assignment for Indiana University Communications:
