Cheyenne pastor Kevin Frank

March 4, 2011

One of my assignments this afternoon was to photograph the new pastor at a local Cheyenne church. I walked into the main part of the church a few minutes before I was supposed to meet the pastor and was immediately struck by the light coming in from the stained glass windows. In one hand was a bag full of light stands, speedlights and Pocket Wizards, but I immediately gravitated towards the gorgeous window light and a line of pews on one side of the church.

Wyoming Legislature ends session

March 4, 2011

Today was the last day of the 2011 session of the 61st Wyoming Legislature. Covering the legislature twice a week has really become part of my weekly routine since I started at the paper here in January so it will be a bit weird not having to dress up in a suit. It was kind of a weird mood among the legislators today. It kind of seemed like the last day of elementary school. Everyone was cleaning out desks. I kept wondering if I’d spot someone signing a yearbook.
