Christmas tree trimming

November 28, 2011

Shelby Cavanaugh, 7, reaches out to hang an ornament as she's held up to the tree by her mother, Shelly, not pictured, as several youngsters trim the Christmas tree on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza. Most of the ornaments adorned the lower branches of the tree as high winds kept organizers from using a ladder to hang them higher.

Sculpture dedication outtakes

November 19, 2011

I shot a dedication ceremony on Friday for a sculpture of the late former Gov. Stanley Hathaway. Here are a couple outtakes from the assignment:

U.S. District Court judge Clarence Brimmer mingles with the crowd after a ceremony dedicating a sculpture of former Gov. Stanley Hathaway on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at the Hathaway building in downtown Cheyenne. Hathaway severed as Wyoming's 27th governor from 1967 to 1975.

Katie Foust reacts as she's pulled on a rubber mat around an arena by a teammate during a practice of the LCCC Ranch Horse Team on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at the LCCC. Sledding in October

October 27, 2011

A week before Halloween can only mean one thing: good sledding right? Well usually not, but thanks to several inches of snowfall on Tuesday evening, Pando Park in Cheyenne was filled with kids and their parents trying out the fresh powder with their sleds on Wednesday afternoon.

Taylor Hollibough, 3, reacts as she slides down a hill into Pando Park on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, in Cheyenne. It was the first time Hollibough had sledded by herself on her own sled.
