Here’s a quick Silver Hawks media day sportrait I shot of Arizona Diamondbacks prospect Archie Bradley earlier this week. The Diamondbacks drafted him at No. 7 overall in the 2011 MLB draft, and I doubt he’s in South Bend very long before moving up. Look forward to seeing him pitch a few times this summer at the Cove.

Fall vacation
Until this week, I had been procrastinating processing and scanning a couple rolls of 120 film. Part of this stemmed from the fact that I hadn’t really touched my Holgas since September. Recently, I picked them back up and started to shoot with them again. I did this in an attempt to once again get inspired and excited about photography in general. I love shooting with my Holgas as a way to decompress and rethink how I look at things visually. The result of my return from Holga hiatus was developing and scanning the rolls. To my surprise, one roll was shot in September during a vacation to Indiana and Nashville, Tennessee while I was working in Wyoming.
St. Joseph, Michigan
Since moving back to South Bend, I’ve made a couple trips up to Silver Beach in St. Joseph, Mich. This was thanks in part to the unseasonably warm weather we’ve had. Also, the town is one of my favorite places on earth.
Julia Frick
A couple weeks back, I photographed Julia Frick, a local women who adopted two children she had cared for as a foster parent. The images were part of the Tribune’s ongoing investigation and coverage of the Indiana Department of Child Services.
Little 500 Miss-N-Out
Spent a good chunk of time on Saturday shooting Miss-N-Out, one of the spring series events in the lead up to Indiana University’s Little 500. I shot most of the day primarily with a very cheap plastic medium format camera, but I also shot some stuff using my normal cameras. It was nice to be back in Bloomington, especially on a weekend featuring a Little 500 spring series event. I somewhat miss covering the crazy week leading up to the event and the races themselves.
