West Baden Springs Hotel

June 5, 2018

Back in March I had a free half an hour to meander around the grounds of the historic West Baden Springs Hotel with my Rolleiflex before a photo shoot. The first time I visited the hotel as a child, I remember having to sign a waiver because the structure was in such disrepair that it was on the verge of collapse. Fast forward a couple decades later and it is great to see the hotel renovated and serving as a resort once again.

New York City

May 16, 2018

At the end of April, my wife and I traveled to New York for a long weekend to visit some good friends and do a bit of touristy sightseeing. I took the opportunity to leave my DSLR at home and shoot only with my Rolleiflex.

Bryan House at Indiana University

May 11, 2018

Last fall I had the opportunity to work on a project documenting the William Lowe and Charlotte Lowe Bryan House for a book about the history of the home. The residence, constructed in 1924 by IU’s tenth president, is the traditional home of the president of the university. This shoot was fascinating in part because I’m a huge fan of older homes: my wife and I own one about a mile away that predates Bryan House by four years.

Bryan House including the Tobias Pavilion and Prebys Amphitheater is pictured from the air on a fall day at Indiana University Bloomington on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017.
