At the end of April, my wife and I traveled to New York for a long weekend to visit some good friends and do a bit of touristy sightseeing. I took the opportunity to leave my DSLR at home and shoot only with my Rolleiflex.

Last fall I had the opportunity to work on a project documenting the William Lowe and Charlotte Lowe Bryan House for a book about the history of the home. The residence, constructed in 1924 by IU’s tenth president, is the traditional home of the president of the university. This shoot was fascinating in part because I’m a huge fan of older homes: my wife and I own one about a mile away that predates Bryan House by four years.


The Cutters out-sprinted Gray Goat on the final lap to capture victory in the 68th running of the Men’s Little 500 at Indiana University. The win is the Cutters’ 13th title and first championship since 2011.

Kappa Alpha Theta sprinted away from the pack in the final two corners to win the 31st running of the Women’s Little 500. The win, the fourth in five years, is Theta’s eighth Little 500 title.
